Today the Auschwitz concentration camp is a UNESCO World Heritage Museum and one can visit the lagers and the renovated facilities that were left standing after the defeat of the Nazis.

Of the four concentration camps that existed in the area, two remain standing and can be visited: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz-Birkenau.

More than fifty years ago of the genocide that, as a gas chamber and forced labor, the Nazis implanted and still the word Auschwitz causes terror to every human being with a minimum of human sense in their flesh.

The museum is located in the village of Oswiecim and is an hour by bus from Krakow. There are tours from the same city but the visit can be done perfectly on your own. In the same museum there are guides of different languages ​​and they will show you the two concentration camps that are still standing.
